As an academic, I use the EBSCOHost and ProQuest article databases - *neither* of which show up properly now that the Adobe Reader PDF extension is disabled. Both the above services worked splendiferously in Adobe; now, when they're showing the PDF in a frame, the frame is simply a blank, gray rectangle ...

And since I downloaded Chrome just this past December (right after I bought the computer), no - I can't go back to Adobe Reader, because Reader isn't loaded in this version of Chrome.

C'mon - you've had *months* to fix this issue, which is something that should never have been pushed out from Dev. This was on two separate networks, so it's not an issue of a particularly slow network. I have always thought of Chrome as a light browser, but something seems to have changed, dramatically, making this the slowest download for Chrome ever. If adding Adobe components into the core of the browser means that this kind of bloated download experience will be typical for future updates, that is most definitely a step in the wrong direction.Aylarjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07440947193830946558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8982037438137564684.post-28404532175531517802011-02-08T22:13:57.066-08:002011-02-08T22:13:57.066-08:00@ Salil, Beta is at 9.0.597.94 right now too, not ...@ Salil, Beta is at 9.0.597.94 right now too, not 9.0.597.86.Lanelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10425882588042815677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8982037438137564684.post-45610007185111766642011-02-08T21:07:30.824-08:002011-02-08T21:07:30.824-08:00@William ou forgot it's the stable channel and...@William ou forgot it's the stable channel and NOT the Dev!
