Why no Acer Chromebook 14?
Is it because it is getting the playstore soon (within days)?
If not, why?

I'm a bit confused now. The Toshiba Chromebook 2 is mentioned in the exception list. I happen to own one of these devices and it has been updated to 61.0.3163.113 (Platform version: 9765.76.0). So why is it being mentioned in the exception list?

@Daniel Eskildsen If people want a Chromebook with Android apps, they should have bought one of the Chromebook devices already supporting Android apps.

@Daniel Eskildsen I bought a Chromebook for having and using a simple and clean device with almost no need for maintenance. If you bought a Chromebook only becaus of it's Android app capability sometime in the future, it's very likely that you made a wrong decision.
Google is bringing the Play Store to Chromebooks. The list of supported devices is getting longer. Slowely but steady. If you can't wait, sell your device and buy a Chromebook already supporting the Play Store.

@Daniel Eskildsen I am not working for Google and I am from Germany. We have almost no variety concerning Chromebook models. It's either HP or Acer. That's pretty much it. I am not aware, that Google hat made a promise whatsoever, that the Play Store is going to land at a particular time on a particular device. I don't know of any fix date or such

are the exceptions just temporary, just the time for developpers to adapt the release ?

Wow, that's a lot of Chromebooks getting excluded from this update. Most puzzling of all being the Pixel. You're stalling the update on your own device?

Hello everybody,

can someone explain me why Acer Chromebook 15 - CB3-532 until today do not get any stable updates?

I really like stability of Chrome OS but I do not understand that.

@Jaroslav: I have been asking the same thing for weeks but nobody ever answers. No input from anyone at Chrome either. I'll think twice before buying another Chromebook again.

My Toshiba Chromebook 2 (2015) was just updated to 61.0.3163.120. All the goodies are there. Just need Play Store at some point.
