Beta and Stable Channel Update

The Chrome Beta and Stable channels have been updated to 13.0.782.112 which includes an updated version of Flash Player.

The Chrome Team would especially like to thank Tavis Ormandy, the Google Security Team, and Google for donating a large amount of time and compute power to identify a significant number of vulnerabilities resolved in this release of Flash Player.

We would also like to thank the Adobe team for their hard work on this security release.  You can find more detailed information about their release and the security bulletin.

Am I the only one who can't watch youtube videos in fullscreen? Other video sites seem not to have this problem, only youtube. All I get is a black screen altough I can still hear the sound and even see the captions.

Does this release fix this bug? http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?can=2&q=8742&colspec=ID%20Stars%20Pri%20Area%20Feature%20Type%20Status%20Summary%20Modified%20Owner%20Mstone%20OS&id=8742

Or is that still in the dev/beta/unstable channel?

This is weird the built in flash update for my desktop works. But for my laptop it crashes alot on chatroulette or stickam.com etc. The workaround for the fix is to disable the built in flash in chrome. Go to about:plugins. Then just download the flash manually instead of using built in and download same version. Then it will work perfectly.

If I'm not fed up with this on-going problem...Flash DXVA is broken AGAIN with Chrome13 on XP32.Three,four times more cpu usage than on IE8 with the same Flash version.Plus the ridiculous amount of ram needed. Why do we need SEVERAL instances of Chrome(Task manager) to run one lousy Youtube video ? I have NONE of these problems on IE8:1080p is now dealt with as easily as with a dxva software player.
Would it be possible to fix this once for all, please (As it has been in IE8 a,errr, long time ago) ?
Thank you.

Confirmed: Youtube videos do not play full screen, although the slider moves from left to right as if it were playing. Oddly, after the video is "done" (the slider has moved all the way to the right), the screen showing suggestions for other videos does display full screen.

I have just updated to the latest version of Chrome. When I click 'About Google Chrome' it displays the following:

"13.0.782.112 m

What does the 'm' stand for? Is the above what should be displayed after having updated to the latest Chrome release???

Thanks in advance and keep up the excellent work on the #1 browser on the market! :)

@Techno.Ninja83: The m is gone now. Maybe that means they could be tweaking the flash player for us since its built right into the browser. The work around is disabling the built in browser and downloading the same flash version from adobe site. That fixes the issue. If anyone doesn't know how to disable the built in flash. On address bar type about:plugins. At the very top disable shockwave and then go to adobe and download theres instead.

The Shockwave Flash glitches that have been mentioned by commentators on this post -- especially the full window one -- are not caused by Chrome's sandboxed Flash plugin, I have the same exact Flash release on my system (Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard) and in Chrome, I have not experienced the full window glitch on Chrome but I have experienced it a couple of times on a WebKit browser (Mac only) that's very similar to Safari (5.1). I have yet to test this on my Windows and Linux rigs. Perhaps it is a Chrome for windows only issue. That's why it is imperative that commentators include their OS details when posting comments, as this would help to narrow down any issues if applicable. Thanks guys.

Google Chrome is great! I don't have any problems with viewing youtube in full screen mode. I don't have a problem with flashplayer and Google browser never crashes on my computer. Thanks Google Chrome for an excellent browser. I will never use IE as long as Google Chrome works as well as it does. The only problem I do have with Google Chrome is I can't download my software through AT&T, who is my Internet server provider. Will google ever make it possible to download my AT&T software?

Yea the flash crash problem is only with my Windows 7, but for Windows XP it is all ok no flash crash at all. For Windows 7 you have to do a work around to make flash work perfect by disabling built in flash and just downloading same version from adobe and issue is resolved. But I hope they fix the issue with the built in flash for Windows 7.

Did any other changes come through in this version? Is there a full changelog available somewhere?
I'm working on a WebGL project that has mysteriously been issuing security exceptions since yesterday (after zero changes to it) and research into the Chromium project suggests it may be related to a security change in Chrome.

Since this latest update, Flash is completely broken on my machine. Won't load embedded flash (in gmail) - also crashes when opening pandora. I'm running OSX Snow Leopard : 10.6.8 with no firewall and current OS version of flash is the same as the one in chrome ( Flash runs fine on computer and in safari, only crashes in Chrome.

@Mainman678 Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated.

@Danimal You're running an outdated version of Flash on your Mac. The current one is, you can download it from Adobe's website or if you prefer via: System Preferences>Other>Flash Player>Advanced (Tab)>Updates>Check Now. Remember that you'll have to quit all your browsers (if any are running) prior to installing Flash and additionally a Mac restart is required, I'd suggest running a permissions verification and a permissions repair via Disk Utility after your Mac's restart is complete but before opening any browsers.

On a side note, I'd recommend turning on your Mac's built-in Firewall, it is not a good idea to leave your machine's ports wide open to intrusion.

However, Chrome 13.0.782.112 m crashed continuously just aftern its upgrade.
And creating a new profile didn't solve the problem.
I tried it several times, but it did not work!
Please fix this problem ASAP.
