Apologies Drew (hope you get it working), smart lock and instant tethering both work on my pixelbook (to a pixelphone 2). Seems happier with external monitors, bluetooth speakers etc.

Offtopic, but what is the "cheapairfare" thing on the front page? Is that supposed to be an ad or is it a glitch? See screenshot.

Looks to me like someone is using Google Plus to mess with the blog by injecting junk content, according to the browser developer tools. It's clearly not supposed to be there, in the form of an ad or otherwise.

Smart lock stopped working on my Pixelbook ...very annoying.

I think it is due to the newblue. A week or so when I enabled it, smart lock stopped working. Disabling newblue and smart lock worked again.

Looked at the html, found no unknown sources injected. G+ profile links to google's verified account. Probably a copy paste error.

To update, yeah works. Waiting for stable.. And I got a new game. Mistaking the brightness symbol with settings icon. They are really easy to confuse.

Hi Chrome team!

Acer Chromebase 24 owner here, and I'm just wondering when you guys are planning on rolling out the Andriod capabilities to more devices, I'm looking at the lsit on 'Planned devices' and it get's bigger an bigger I'm assumin ghtat your plan is to roll them out in one big go - Perhaps all the Intel ones at once then the ARM's etc.

Any information you could give me would absolutely make my day!
Thanks, all the best.

@Unknown You are far from the only one curious about Android support on Chrome OS devices. It's coming for everyone with supported hardware eventually, but it has taken far longer than anyone expected, due both to bugs in the implementation and working with hardware-specific quirks. The good news is that, when we all get new Chrome OS devices (Chromebooks, mostly, but not all), Android support will be much easier to enable thanks to an update to the Chrome OS spec resolving the compatibility problems making deployment a headache. Until then, we must be patient.
