r: --enable-user-scripts seems to be working for me in this release. If it isn't working for you, can you give a more detailed example of the problem (you can mail it to

Are you maybe talking about extensions (--enable-extension)? If so, then yes, those did change in this release. We're going to be doing a separate release shortly with the details.

css files are still being forced to download if you click through from 'view source'. very annoying bug, especially as a web dev.

PS: A patch fixing this has already been submitted. Is there a reason why it wasn't included?

The downloads still don't show up in the Downloads tab (blank page) in Incognito mode. Since the downloads are not in the Downloads page, this "download bar" is not really useful: 1) if I close the bar, there's no way to get it back; 2) if I have more than 5 downloads, the first ones get push off the page (this # depends on the width of the window) and there is no scrollbar the get to them.

Also I stil get this "bX-botdn9" from when submitting this comment - doing this from IE.

Crash when enabling profiles with enable-udd-profiles.
To reproduce the bug, click on the wrench button, close the menu and click again the wrench button menu. Crash!

It might just be my imagination, but this release seems quite a bit faster and more responsive. Clicking on menus seems snappier and scrolling down Flash- or Javascript-intensive web pages seems smoother now than before.

Has anyone else noticed this change?

When the downloader will restart downloads, and avoid using cache because sometimes my wireless conexion fails and downloads appear as completed which is not true and downloading again uses cached which is not what I want.

I don't know if it happens to you, but each time a save a file it crashes if I create a new folder in the save dialog window.

Now everything seems to be working perfect as always. Keep up the good work :)

^^Thats exactly why we need to be pointing out the bugs now, so they can be fixed before a stable release.

Hello all, we found the issue with user scripts. If you'd like an easy workaround, you can install any extension (eg from

This will make user scripts work again, and you can then uninstall the extension if you don't want it anymore.

I would like to ask for a feature (or two), well the other one is more like a question. :)

Would be possible to have the downloads bar to close by double-clicking the empty space on it?

Is there a smooth scrolling option coming down somewhere the pipe? :)

I notice that you guys revamped the CRX extension format which broke all extensions.

I was wondering when we can use extensions in the dev version without the "--enable-extensions" tag?

I'm not sure how unique my situation is...and probably need to demote myself to the stable release....but is anyone else getting CONSTANT crashes? After hanging up, I try to open up ff, ie or opera and they also are in hang-up mode.
Problem started about 5 weeks ago when we went to version 2....I've used all 3 versions of the latest releases and still problems. Tired of reinstalling this thing....and still have crashes.

Looks like extensions are broken completely in this build. I can't install any of the test signed extensions in the Google code issue for extensions signatures.

I even tried to generate my own signed extension, which seemed to work, but that wouldn't install either.
