This build is stable and the features is awesome and I personally like this type of speed dial compare to the latest development build which is slower down the whole system. For instance, Google Chrome build 126.96.36.199 seems to having a major problem and some of the extra feature is not relevant. In a nutshell, Google Chrome really did a good job towards this build.
I love how the URL bar looks now, it barely noticeable but i love it, also chrome runs way smoother than normal with this update. Keep it up :)
Are extensions available in this version? As far as I can see, extensions were available in the dev version at 3.0.193 (although I have never been on the dev channel), but I can't get it to work in this beta version.
@Dallin : extensions are only available in the dev version

Hi guys,i would like to see in Chrome 3 a tab thumbnail preview as available in opera (or other).Rearranging speed dial thumbnails and configuring the number of thumbnails (up to 16 or 25) would be great. Thanks for your excellent work!
Are there technical or political issues to - not - release a version for Win2000 ? The same applies to Gears. At least Opera 10b and FF3.5 are available for Win2k.
Nice new look for the Omnibox. But a few ui changes needed still, like the new logo needed to be slapped on the new tab page.
The pace of this life is increasing and so is the pace of Chrome's updates!! Your engineers seem to be on fire!! LOL!! Great stuff Google ... Keep up the good work! Peace!
It looks like this build breaks the AdSweep script:http://www.adsweep.org/Anyone else having issues?
Sounds Intriguing. My download keeps getting stuck at around the middle for some reason. I tried clearing cookies, the cache, deleted the partially downloaded file, but nothing's working. Any suggestions? :SAlso, does it have support for toolbars yet for that matter?Cheers,Shitij
There are still not enough options in the option menu. Also not enough right click choices, I want to be able to bookmark a page by right clicking on it. We also still need Extensions, sooner rather than later. And the ability to customize the user interface as we see fit (small icons, stop button, print button, downloads button). I'd also rather than downloads opened in a small child window than in a tab. And the option hide tab view unless a second tab is opened.
I had to drop the new beta and go back to the stable version. The new version messes up with Java Pop-Ups.I can't control pop-ups in any way now.Help! Please don't go and goof up the stable version now, or I will have to drop Chrome altogether.
There are too few options on Chrome, I would agree. But there is one especially dumb one . . the box that asks you if you want the Home Page Icon on the Menu. Duh!99 percent of all users would want the Home page Icon. How about helping us out with Pop-Up Control and the poor way that Chrome let's you save a webpage!
Finally! Its better than previous version, faster and lighter. Good job.About the new omnibox, seems nice, but have to try it more.It would be cool to have a good download manager (and on different window) pls.For now, i just cant login on YouTube with Chrome xD but i can on IE8, Opera and FF... strange.Thx!
I also noticed the pop-ups were mysteriously disabled... Otherwise, this beta version is excellent, and needs some new features, perhaps.
GoogleChrome used More Memory!!!,Not Google bad to down!!! and also opens two processes as Internet Explorer 8!!used more memory and used CPU.-GoogleChrome,has than give less Resources.-
Internet Explorer 8 opens two processes,GoogleChrome opens two processes!!!¿what improvement,there is!!??¿what can,compete GoogleChrome???Used memory,two processes as the other!!!
Has something changed recently with how the "Open link in new tab" context menu works? Now when you open a new tab this way Chrome immediately switches to the new tab even though it's just an empty page because it's still loading. I much prefer the old method where new tabs opened without becoming the active tab. That way I can open several tabs without disrupting my work and the tabs load in the "background" while I continue working on the same page.
This release broke my all my bookmarks. They have gone boom... away
Art - That is an experiment. It will be reverted to opening in background soon.
For those requesting more toolbar customization, vote for Issue 1656.
Open tabs with the middle click, it'll open 'em in the back ground. Got used to it in 24 hours. A nice feature, I guess..less clicks.
build 188.8.131.52 broke facebook :Ocant play facebook videos, the facebook bar dont work :O
How about the "open file" option when downloading files. All other browsers have this option which downloads the file to the "temp" directory. Many times I download files just to look at once and it is a major pain to sift through my downloads folder and clear them out periodically. Also, how about automatic purge of old history items? The lack of these two features has kept many people I know from making the switch.
The OminBox is cool. I liked it.
Please add-Linkification google chrome ? Thx

I dislike the new Omnibox. The appearance isn't as easy to read as the old one, but that's minor. I am bothered most by the suggestions given when I type, especially from history. I get suggestions from history that are useless (news articles I read months ago). I moved from firefox because their suggestions had just this problem. It either needs to not suggest things that are old or not suggest thing that I haven't specifically typed into the address bar before (my preference)
I love Chrome's snappy performance. ... but it seems like a huge memory hog - something totally counter-intuitive... I can have 30 or more tabs open at a time, and the result is a horde of processes, several of which each consume 100k of active memory space... and my laptop is "limited" to a maximum of 2GB of memory (shared with the video, bleah). My top 6 chrome processes are consuming 700kb of memory alone! What is up with that? Running 184.108.40.206
I believe part of the trade off of having multiple processes, is a much larger memory footprint. As it stands memory is fairly cheap today compared to just 10 years ago, so its a resource that we can consume in favor of stability and security.

What is happening in Chrome to address the null character certificates flaws detailed by Moxie Marlinspike and Dan Kaminsky at BlackHat 2009? This is a serious and critical flaw in SSL certificate validation. Mozilla 3.x is already patched - no indication of patch in progress or results from Chrome, yet... please advise?
Why was the "show mixed content" option removed?? It is listed under "some minor UI changes" so maybe the ability to adjust this setting is available somewhere else but if it's not I would consider this more than a UI change, it's functionality.Thanks.

Am I being silenced?? I sent this comment in a while ago but it still hasn't shown.Under "some minor UI changes" is listed "Removed the "show mixed content" option." Since this option is removed in the UI where can I change this option in a config file? If the only place to change this option is in the UI then I would consider this a functionality change.Thanks.
I would like to be able to rearrange the thumbnails...
