There are two unpleasant terms in the text:
"Bing" and "Unistalling Chrome". =P

What's the point of the giant bookmark sync bar? The obnoxious green is very distracting and overpowers the other elements of the page I see hundreds of times a day only to tell me that my bookmarks are synced. Of course they're synced, why are you telling me every time I open a page that my bookmarks are OK? Don't give me giant alerts that everything is OK.

I'm not sure sync status even belongs on the prime real estate on the NTP. What good does it do to have this information plastered in such a prominent location? Much less a link to the read-only google docs representation of my bookmarks (which are of no use to me when I have my browser synced.)

I guess this helps raise the visibility of these features, but it seems a very inappropriate location for that info.

anyway to have more thumbnails in the New Tab Page ?

for thoose with 24" sceen or bigger it could be confortable to have the possibility to customise the number of thumbnails available

Actually, it'd be better if we could choose exactly what websites we want to see in the ntp, not only the most visited ones.

You are transforming the new tab page into a forum's home page by stacking everything on a wide box. I think it's time to go back to the 9x9 thumbnail panel with these new information on the right side panel.

There is something wrong with menu items caption. Some of them start with 'amp;' string. Maybe it is language dependent ?

When we will get back pre4.0 New Tab look? With recommendations too!

Another thing: to make possible to open bulk of closed Tabs in the same window. If you have homepage, then upon opening browser after it was closed you get NewTab as the Tab Nr.2, then when unfold closed Tabs they appears in the new windows. Not so much big deal - I usually close the first windows and then reopen home page in the second windows, but still. May be as an option with right-click?

On my devchannel Chrome on 64-bit Ubuntu Jaunty, the update was to version Great - but SCIM still doesn't work, so I have to load Firefox to write Chinese or Japanese text, nor can I sync to my Google Toolbar bookmarks, nor use Flash to watch YouTube videos....

I'm with you all the way, Sebastian ! Since posting yesterday, I've been able - with the help of an article in Make Tech Easier ( ) to get Flash to work in Chrome, but when I tried to use the same technique and add « --enable-sync» to my command line to gain access to my Google Toolbar bookmarks, I failed. And, of course, SCIM, which is essential to me, still doesn't function. But I am confident that the Chrome developers will soon resolve these problems - they've done a great job hitherto !...

i dont know where to put this suggestion. It would be nice, that now since windows 7 has been released for some users, that google chrome could apply the Aero Peek to the windows. This feature is only available with IE, so far.

Is there a way to import bookmarks / sync bookmarks on the mac client? I'm done with safari but need to pull in my existing bookmarks to make a switch. Even if it's a bit of a hack to get it working I'm a developer so I can follow crazy instructions if need be...

"What's the point of the giant bookmark sync bar? The obnoxious green is very distracting"

@Justin, I'll tell you the point of the giant bookmark sync bar - it turns bright red if there is a problem and your login details need to be re-entered. As you said, you can't miss it. I'd much prefer to have it there and know my bookmarks are going to be synced rather than there be a problem and only notice it when I am looking for a bookmark that hasn't synced.

You may have not intended to do so, but I think you have managed to express the state of mind that a lot of people are in.
