Now large portion of people would like to switch their default browser to Mozilla Firefox 3.6 due to the great performance as well as well configured extension application. Google Chrome however, still on beta mode for the next version and some of the basic functionality is totally ignore from what people suggested.

For instance, the clear history icon on the tools menu are not showing anymore for users to click and directly clear the unnecessary data safe on the computer. Next would be the compatibility issue whereby certain websites cannot implement correctly and running on a 'blank' page. Indeed, this problem can solve if Google development team decided to use other rendering engine instead of using Webkit or V8 engine as their core execution on the browser itself. Thirdly, is the memory consumption whereby it used up a lot of space on computer memory and that could potentially slow down the computer if there are a lot of task being done in the same time. Overall, Google Chrome development team need to do something in order to cope with this problem rapidly and effectively.

development is way too slow!!!

Im on bleeding edge Chromium builds for Mac. They're buggy but at least gets updated 5-6 times a day.;O=D

There are two keywords in bleeding edge.
- "Bleeding" means that there-will-be-blood, and things will crash, they're mostly untested and you are the tester.
- "Edge" means it's the top-edge, very-very-last available build.

Chrome beta channel updates are very regular. Development is fast-paced, but the beta channel only updates once it's been thoroughly tested. Don't complain.

Seriously, Chrome Team should be focusing on the suggestions made by the users. Jeffrey is right.

I agree with Jeffrey's post.

Please bring back "Clear browsing data" on the Tools menu.

Quite honestly, I also miss the original, Google new tab page; I miss the option to have added search windows on the new tab page.

Moreover, please give us the option to either open/run downloaded files instead of only having the ability to download and save them. This feature is long overdue on Google Chrome and should have been implemented in the browser from its inception.

As alternative you can use the Clik&Clean extension Click&Clean

- Clear browsing data when Chrome closes
- Remove Flash Cookies (LSOs)
- Delete client-side Web SQL Databases
-Close all windows/tabs before clearing
- Clearing browsing history should not clear localStorage for extensions (fixed Chromium issue 30226)
Works on Google Chrome for WINDOWS!
