Windows, so far it works very well. Let me trust the the hibernation won't crash anymore.

Another detail is that when you have many tabs and you're closing them from the left, they don't resize so you can click "close" at the same point, as we had been previously used.

Is there some place to test VP8 or WebM? Anyone knows?

Lumo said...

Oh, now I see it. You may switch YouTube to HTML 5 with WebM and VP8. I found Flash to be somewhat smoother in playing the videos, so although there are no other issues, I am probably going to keep Flash. But good job.

Menus seem to be working a lot better! No more clicking several times to get a menu command to work. Seems like you're working hard to fix this old bug: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5212

The wrench menu is weird, though, you might wanna check on that.

As ventura said, the wrench menu is quite odd... what you doing over there?

Hi,

I made a new test with YouTube working with HTML5 (http://www.youtube.com/html5), and it working a lot better than before, because loading stream of the player didn't work to much well, and the fullscreen didn't exist, but now, the loading is working good, and now using the fullscreen of Chrome, and using the fullscreen of YouTube, the Video now is really fullscreen.

See ya!!

I just stumbled upon the ie9 test drive Browser Flip http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/11BrowserFlip/Default.html and the performance is atrocious on the latest Chrome beta, around 5 fps for me, barely beating IE8. Firefox 3.6.3 on the other hand gets around 40 fps. Similar reports around the web exist. I wonder what the issue is...

Good job, guys. However, PRINTING (at least on a local network) is broken with this latest release. Hopefully the problem can be addressed in the next release(s).

There are so many other news in this build that's not listed above! Just a pity it's so time consuming to walk through the revision log.

Other news in this release:

- Add sync support for Passwords
- Don't let bookmark navigations change content of pinned tab. (works on bookmark bar and bookmark menus, not in manager)
- Allow extensions to be overinstalled with extensions of same version.

Windows Only (yet):
- Implement upgrade notifications. When we detect that the installed version is newer than the version you are running we show a little throbbing orange dot over the wrench menu.

For Chromium OS users:
- Turn on cloud print for Chromium OS.

@jason

> - Don't let bookmark navigations change content of pinned tab.

for me, this is anti-intuitive! and uncomfortable... if the link in my bookmark bar is the same (or the original same...) of the pinned tab.

tipicaly, i've got some links in my bookmark bar for the pinned tab. i would reload the content of pinned tabs clicking on the link in menu tab.

The following was a HUGE productivity loss for me, and in order to try to fix it, I had uninstalled my chrome and lost all the browsing history, passwords etc, and of course having to reopen tabs upon startup crash. It seems to be fixed now with this dev version, but this is to request chrome team that if there is bug like this crash at startup, then kindly patch those QUICKLY. New features can wait

whitespace (one-inch thick) at bottom of browser tab : I Am using latest chrome 6.x dev. I notice that on some webpages, there is a one-inch thick whitespace at bottom of browser tab sometimes. This is a bug. Also sometimes that whitespace at bottom of browser window, sometimes shows content from another tab in chrome.

I would like to request 2 things about the downloads bar:

1. can it (at least optionally) slide INTO the page rather than making the window get taller?

2. can we have it optionally close again after a download is completed, preferably with a use-definable delay?

Thanks

Is there any fix for SxS-specific issue?

@Seyss On Windows at least master password functionality is already in... at least, what is there is, I consider, better than a traditional master password system. Your Windows account is used to encrypt the passwords... the passwords cannot be accessed unless you log in to your Windows account. This is a great way to do it IMO since it means you don't have to use a separate master password or another password prompt.

And "no history collect" is what incognito mode is. You can also periodically clear your normal browsing history (Ctrl+Shift+Del).

hey google chrome devs: can you fix my html over video issue that only sucks in your browser and ie6 ?

http://madvideo.ro/adrian-si-mihaela/

press the blue button, a lightbox should show up, and the problem: the video is over the lightbox!!!

So, i have a 2 hour fight with this, and couldn't solve... So i hate google chrome.

I am finding this release less stable than previous ones. Lots of cases of Chrome "not responding" and having to be killed in Task Manager. I can't pin it down to any particular site or task. Looks like others aren't having the same issues, so I guess it is just me :-) Not complain', just sayin'. This is the dev release after all!
