@Anthony - Will Accelerated 2D Canvas be enabled on mac in 13? Also when is stable version of 12 expected?
Google Chrome has six-week release cycles, and the last time Chrome Stable was updated was April 27. According to my Google Calendar, April 27 + 6 weeks = June 8, which means we might see a Chrome Stable release then, with a Chrome OS Stable release sometime around that time as well. And if you run a Chrome OS virtual machine, you can also take advantage of GPU Accelerated Canvas 2D.
This build is quite bad on the Mac, how can we downgrade if we've already upgraded? :(
@Ishimaru, Thanks for the heads up, the last dev build that worked well on my Macs was 761.0, since then the dev builds have been less than stellar, rather regressive. I was hoping that this new one (782.1) would've remedied these situations, I take it from your comment that such has not been the case. Thanks again. In order to downgrade you would have to get a disk image of the appropriate previous build, I believe there's a repository site for such cases, though I haven't visited it in awhile and it is probable that dev builds may not be found there, if I remember well it is mac.oldapps.com
Java plug-in needs your permission to run. You 'always' have to reply to: Always run on this site. Java app will not remember each time it is run.
Yeah, I'm getting all kinds of problems with this build on OS X. I couldn't even get new pages to load at all. I had to downgrade to 742.21, as I couldn't find anything newer. That's a shame too. about: pages won't load, new pages won't load, and tabs won't load pages in the background. Bad build overall. :(
This build is horrible. DONT UPGRADE TO IT!!!! Windows 7 x86 After Update can't use anything, Chrome is unable to use on start. Downgrading isn't working too >.<
I created an Issue http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=84688
Please update the flash version: 10.3.181.16
Can't confirm here. This build works a lot better than the previous dev one. E.g. when you close a tab the newly selected tab doesn't show the contens of the closed one.
@Petteri: It looks like it's my user profile's fault. If I change it, all is working fine :S My UserProfile is over 1.8 GB
Whenever you try to set content settings permissions for websites that use 'https' via the 'content settings permission icons' in the omnibox, the address is added to the desired exceptions list but the permission doesn't work. When the permission for 'https" sites are added to the list, it is added like this 'https://[*.]www.example.com' when it should be '[*.]www.example.com'. Right now the only way to fix this is to manually edit-out the 'https://' part of the entries in the exceptions list. This above problem may also be related to REO's complaint.

Filed bug for regression: Download bar does not disappear after installing extensionhttp://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=84708
@Chris Chrome on my laptop won't even load the about:flags page. I do have most of them turned on though, but I have no way to turn them off.
I can confirm that new pages will not load including about:* pages. Preferences load fine. This is with the latest 13.0.782.1 build.
@Chris: Yes, I tried all I know about Chrome
Gmail gets broken : While composing gmail email, and starting to type email address, clicking on an email address in the "To" field of a gmail email, does not let in email address getting selected.
Any ETA on OSX Compact Nav? Its sorely missed on my 13" MBP with accompanying 13" resolution, hehe.Thank you!- Greg
Everything seems fine at the moment. btw i'm glad Foo and Bar are gone from the new tab page
I can't get Gmail chat to work in this Dev version or Canary. I may just be going back to Beta once and for all.
Crashes directly on start on both my macs (EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE) at 0x0000000037ab4d0):-(Is there any downgrade procedure? Just dragging a beta release to the App folder and confirming "replace?" fails due to insufficient rights…
something i noticed... if you are writing in a text box and gmail sends you a browser notification, you lose focus on the text box. can anyone confirm this?
Reproblem 13.0.782.1 dev-m y 13.0.782.3 canaryhttp://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=74626:(
People it is probably because of the pre-rendering flag, i used it some days ago and it made all you said, including the not loading pages, i don´t remember how i entered it back, i guess i was lucky besides i am running on the version they released before this one and have a bug that won´t let auto update
I am so pleased to see print preview. I have been waiting such a long time for this, and finally I might be able to roll chrome out across the office.PLEASE give the functionality to adjust margins, and remove the URL and date stamp from the header footer.
Updated this morning, has crashed 10 times already for no reason I can tell. Windows 7, 64bit. Not a very stable build. As one commenter above said, the dev builds have gotten much buggier, which is understandable... but I may move to Stable Channel.
"... Is there any downgrade procedure? Just dragging a beta release to the App folder and confirming "replace?" fails due to insufficient rights…"@Stecki - You have to kill/quit the "Google Chrome Helper" process that automatically loads/runs every time Chrome.app is selected in your Finder. Use "Activity Monitor" to easily find and quit such process, once that's accomplished you'll be able to install a replacement Chrome app.BTW, you can create Chrome subfolders in your Applications folder, wherein you'd be able to differentiate and replace the Chrome iterations/channels, e.g: Finder > Applications > Google Chrome > Chrome Developer (and/or Chrome Canary, and/or Chrome Beta, and/or Chrome Stable,) furthermore, you may also continue the daisy chain and create Chrome Release specific subfolders within each iteration/channel. Do remember to backup/save your Chrome profiles before making any changes just in the highly unlikely case that corruption may occur, something that has never happened to me even though I've been using Chrome for awhile.
chrome is not opening any page, it uses a lot of cpu even thou I close it, I have to kill the process in the task manager, plus if i keep it open a while it comes with the message that chrome has crashed want to relaunch?hope you fix this real soon release since im now using internet explorer or rockmelt instead of reinstallin another version of chrome
forgot to say, im using win 7 x64
Now that Canvas 2D acceleration is on by default, is there any way to disable it?When it's on, I get garbled fonts on certain sites like Hulu and UFC.com.
