Dev Channel Update

The Chrome Dev channel has been updated to 14.0.803.0 for all platforms.  This release has the following changes and notes:

All
  • Updated V8 - 3.4.6.2
  • [r90216] Change the meaning of third-party cookie blocking to allow whitelists (Issue 82039)
Mac
  • Relaunches do not work in this release.  You will need to manually relaunch Chrome following a forced update, an about:flags change, or any other action that attempts to relaunch the browser. (Issue 87646)
Linux
  • [r90417] Remove the Global Bookmarks menu by default on Ubuntu Natty, in an attempt to fix minute long startup regression on desktop environments that use dbusmenu. (Issue 86715)
The full list of changes is available in the SVN revision log.  Interested in switching to a different release channel?  Find out how.  If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a bug.

Thanks!

One thing: 'About Google Chrome' dialog box. The OK button only works if the cursor is on the upper edge of the button.

With toolbar hidden, when I open a new tab, I have to click in it to write the url. It was not like this some versions before.

I second Harris' comment : there are focus glitches since last dev release when the toolbar is hidden, you have to click on the URL field after ctrl+T to make it active, it was previously active by default.

I'm still hoping for Google Chrome to have the option to open/run downloads on the fly rather than only being able to save them. This is the only reason why Google Chrome is still not my default browser. Will this option ever be implemented?

I'm not able to use the Page Up/Down keys with a PDF file after I've set the PDF to Page Fit (leftmost PDF popup icon). At the default zoom level, Page Up/Down work correctly. Home and End work regardless of zoom level.

Chrome is crashing instantly all of a sudden for no reason since about 20 minutes ago. Disabled the only extension that has updated recently and even tried Incognito Mode, but neither worked. Still crashing after about a minute or two of being opened.

is there a way to remove auto-correct? its a madness for people who write in two languages ro sometimes want to mix languages (DO YOU SEE THAT RO?, i wrote or..) in addition ti keeps correcting the same word forever even if you un-correct ti.

Damn the "its" and the "or_s", they are now "ti and ro"

I am getting (bookmark) sync errors. When I enter my google account password I eventually get a spinning icon on the desktop and the entire system becomes unresponsive (Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)). I need to crash the system and reboot.

The workaround is to stop syncing the account and set it up again.

How can we check when to expect the next Dev version? It's been two weeks since the last, which seems like a long time compared to past version turnaround times.
