In this update... App icons are now appearing in the omnibar. No option to hide them. They do not work like the icons to the right of the omnibar. I guess Google is moving the icons to the omnibar and eventually they would become functional and disappear from the right side?

This release introduced a new problem where all extension popups are no longer where you expect them to be, but are stuck at the upper-left corner of the browser.

Here's Gmail Checker Plus for example: http://i.imgur.com/r02im.png

Still crashes on Win XP often as in the last version. Before it was very stable. Maybe I activated the wrong experiment?

There seem to be some serious bugs in rendering engine. Pages like this http://www.spiegel.de/auto/aktuell/bmw-m6-cabrio-luxurioes-offen-schnell-und-mit-v8-turbo-motor-a-834899.html
are messed up. Others like that http://www.tagesanzeiger.ch/ fail to load completely (tab crashes).

To remove the new app icons showing up in the omnibox:

1.)Go to: chrome://flags
2.)Disable the "Action Box" flag (1/4 of the way down)

This will remove the new app icons, as well as the "+" sign(Action Box) that isn't functional yet.

I've noticed rendering issues as well at non-standard zooms. These occur on my Google Apps mail site, calendar site, Google voice, etc.

Some odd display issues, maybe related to the rendering issue people above are talking about?

Here are some examples where I have noticed it the most. Everything on Youtube seems to shifted in odd ways.

Here you can see video titles don't line up proper next to the video preview image. http://i.imgur.com/R2MsS.png

I don't even know what happened with this page. Youtube search results. http://i.imgur.com/BK8iA.png

Developer tools are all mucked up. Scripts tab now missing entirely and screen freezes when I click on "Sources". (is this the new 'Scripts'?)

Fonts are still too small. Using ctrl+ too increase the font size 'skips' a level. ctrl- 2x to bring it back to the original. once is perfect, but it doesn't retain/remember this configuration, have to do it every time.

Will Google Chrome ever have the option to either open/run downloaded files instead of only having the ability to download/save them. This feature is long overdue on Google Chrome and should have been implemented in the browser from its inception. Many of us have been waiting for over two years for this feature (which is common in other browsers) to be implemented.

The following are two (of many) threads on the subject:

http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/Drge_Zrwg-c

http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/LM8gpPb-2vY

I believe that lack of this feature is the why many of us do not have Google Chrome set as our default browser.

On a side note, I miss the "+" on the "New Tab" button.

I can't go more than two hours without a Flash crash. Often locks up my whole browser/computer but if I am lucky flash will just crash without taking everything else with it.

Definitely imagine that that you said. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the net the easiest thing to understand of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed whilst other folks consider concerns that they just do not realize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and outlined out the whole thing with no need side effect , folks can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

I wonder why chrome's compatibility with youtube still hasn't been fixed... As of now it's almost impossible to watch videos there, they stutter like crazy, the browser gets super-slow and the memory usage is at its tops... It's been months now...

Flash performance is a huge problem in this release, videos are chunky as well as the sound. YouTube and many other websites are messed up, looks like there are serious rendering problems too.

C'mon guys, it's the fourth day we have to live with that buggy dev release. Yes, we know it's dev and yes we accept that there may be severe bugs from time to time. But not fixing them drives us letting dev go and using beta or even stable. No help for you developer guys, uh?

pepper flash still crashes my PC(xp).

pepper flash crashes, frequently. When it does not, audio lags behind video by about 1/2 to 3/4 of a second.

This only seems to be a problem on windows 7, though, and I've not had significant issues in Linux or OS X.

ANY HELP?
I was just on phone with McAfee Tech support. THEY said that my Google Chrome version 19.0.1084.52 is 'outdated' and 'should be version 20'.

I'm NOT technical, but I do know that my Google is set to automatically update. I also know if there was an update, on my 'wrench' there'd be an arrow.

I am unaware of any updates and found none.

Does anyone know if I'm missing something...should I ignore what they thought?

Thanks,
Susan at clubfishersd@gmail
