Beta Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Beta channel has been updated to 26.0.1410.15 (Platform version: 3701.30.0) for all Chromebooks except the new Samsung Chromebook (coming soon). This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates and feature enhancements.

Some highlights of these changes are:
  • Pepper Flash updated to 11.6.602.171
  • exFAT support on flash drives
  • Bluetooth UI improvements in the Status Area to ease connecting and managing bluetooth devices
  • Updated wallpaper picker UI (New style, All category)
  • Tab Scrubbing - Use three fingers to target and scrub between tabs - faster than mouse
  • Added support for ISO base media file format, H.264 video and AAC audio to Widevine Content Decryption Module (CDM).
If you find new issues, please let us know by visiting our help site or filing a bug. Interested in switching channels? Find out how. You can submit feedback using ‘Report an issue...’ in the Chrome menu (3 horizontal bars in the upper right corner of the browser).

I can no longer view Gmail. Worked fine last night. Works in Safari and FF19. Mac 10.8.3.

No offense Handycam, but what does your post have to do with an update to the Beta Channel for Chrome OS?

When will this update be available for the Series 3 Chromebox? Looks like it hasn't gotten a Beta Channel update since Jan. 22.

Thank you for working on implementation of exFat. We have been looking forward to that for a while. Sadly I'll have to wait a bit longer since I'm on a Samsung. Still, thank you to everyone that worked on exFat!

I'm having the same problem with Gmail as Handycam on my Samsung Chromebook 303C. Seem to only happen with Gmail for Apps Domains. Public gmail is working okay.

Is there anyway to prevent automatic download of these updates (at least when using tehtering or 4g LTE)?

My dataplan has used up more than 500Mb in less than a week because of them
