When will you add an option to turn off fullscreen mode on tablets? How damn hard can it be to add a checkbox under settings, or if you have some kind of phobia against settings, then why not at least add an option under chrome:flags or something? I don't care where you have to hide it, just add it!This annoying fullscreen mode has ruined my chrome browser experience, and now i'm stuck with an older version.
I wish you had stayed with the +tab [next to omnibox] that feature saved me lots of time and effort - ok in the grand scheme of things, a few seconds. There is a HUGE gap between tab switcher & menu leaving more than enough room to fit it in. Please consider bringing back this awesome feature & idea.
Patrik Na, are you trolling? Full screen is the most asked option and it works flawless. I can't understand why you don't like it. A check box in settings I understand but how can it ruined your experience?
Magnus, I'm used to browsing with several tabs open simultaneously, usually around 10-20 at the same time, sometimes more. And I switch between tabs alot. I'm used to this type of browsing when I read blogs, forums, wiki's, etc, I open all the interesting posts in new tabs and later I go through them. And some sites I need to cross reference and go back and forth between tabs alot. And in fullscreen mode, everytime I have to switch tab I have to pull down to bring the tab bar into view every time. The swiping left or right gesture is useless when you have alot of tabs open. Not to mention how annoying it is to have the most important and useful part of the user interface constantly popping in and out of existance. It drives me nuts. It's like watching tv, only the 0-9 buttons on the remote are broken and you have to press the channel list button and then select the channel, it's simply an annoying extra step, plus the annoyance of having UI popping up and then disappearing.Any serious browser you use on a desktop computer will have fullscreen screen as an option, I don't see why a browser for a tablet must be working like a damn toy. Since I got my tablet I do most of my browsing with it, and it's annoying how google doesn't take its job seriously. The fullscreen is just one thing, the other is the constant attempt by several websites to render themself in mobile view, which usually are buggy like hell. Honestly browsing experience on a tablet is hell, and this forced fullscreen just adds to it. I wish every developer would grow up and stop treating their apps for tablets as toys.
Agree with benlowe53. The +tab button next to the omnibox worked better for me.Swiping down from omnibox to view open tabs is cool. But it kinda makes the tabs button redundant, doesn't it? I hope you guys are going back to the Plus tab button. Could you also add a gesture to close tabs quickly ie. "Swipe diagonally from omnibar to close current tab"
