Beta Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Beta channel has been updated to 31.0.1650.15 (Platform version: 4731.22.0) for all Chrome OS devices except the Samsung Chromebox. This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates and feature enhancements.

Systems will be receiving updates over the next several days.

Some highlights of these changes are:
  • Updated design for Feedback page
  • Translate related settings have been integrated into the languages options
  • The shelf can move to the bottom, left, or right side
  • The launcher icon, app icons, and status tray have improved touch-ability
  • The launcher icon has been anchored to the bottom left
  • Synced profile picture preference if using a Chrome OS avatar or Google+ profile picture
  • Enabled initial support for USB-based Braille displays

If you find new issues, please let us know by visiting our forum or filing a bug. Interested in switching channels? Find out how. You can submit feedback using ‘Report an issue...’ in the Chrome menu (3 horizontal bars in the upper right corner of the browser).

Probably they are going to release it on Monday, it is the first time that beta channel switches version without a stable version being released. I am also waiting for the stable channel :-)

The previous update was build date 'Wednesday, 9 October 2013' and now this newer update is build date 'Tuesday, 8 October 2013'. Weird.
