Chrome Beta for Android has been updated to 31.0.1650.32 and will be available in Google Play over the next few hours. This release has a number of crash fixes as well as the following fixes:
  • 308072: Japanese characters garbled with Reduce Data Usage turned On
  • 297839: Launching Chrome with a URL when first run hasn't yet been run puts Tab with URL in background
  • 307796: Page is not reloaded if renderer died when Chrome is in the background
Known issues:
  • 306213: Youtube audio keeps playing on returning from video playing in fullscreen
  • 306226: Youtube fullscreen videos are not playing until tapping the play icon
  • 286260: Other devices page is displayed instead of new NTP in tab switcher mode + opening/closing the nNTP
  • 307773: Signing-in to Chrome from settings with an account with passphrase doesn't ask user for passphrase
