Definitely not updating my chrome yet then. So worried about slow tabs opening and checkerboard scroll still. I will keep version 31 forever if i have to. It's so powerful without gpu compositing.

Why aren't changelogs or "what's new" messages posted here?

Is there another place I should be looking for that information?

I just updated to this stable release because I did not see any changelog or something, and wanted to find out what this update does. I think I just made a wrong move.

Chrome 32 has been the buggiest release I've ever seen.

I must agree with most of the posters here. The problems in the last 2 releases, which I wrote about, still exist in 107. Now add that tab opening has slowed down in 107.

No changelogs!? Perhaps, Karen Grunberg and Daniel Xie, you guys are in panic mode, or just sloppy?

Stop patronizing us; lying to us; putting out mediocre, buggy, incompetent Chrome 32 releases and updates. You guys are going backwards.

Drop-down boxes still start to animate themselves detached from the drop-down itself. The UX team needs to get back from whatever vacation they're on.

Still ugly scrollbars, slow performance even when I simply switch tabs. I try to keep version 31 forever but I cannot do that as Chrome updates itself automatically. How can I prevent that? I even tried adding policies in Gpedit.msc but it doesn't work.

Immediately upon getting this update, Chromecast casting a tab stopped working properly. Jerky video, all the while reporting that there was a problem with my computer.

I agree you written. I'm still use version 31. Actually, I will pass to Opera when added Show Full URL support. Beside Opera use classic Windows styles (right-click context menu & scroll bars).

How stop Chrome update?

You should uninstall Google Update.

Or Start->Run-> services.msc -> "GoogleUpdate" -> Startup Type -> "Disabled"

Or can appling in

Or can using Chrome Portable (Two edition: PortableApps OR PortableAppZ). I always use as Portable. Light-hearted...

What do we need to do to disable gpu compositing in Windows under Chrome 32? For our web app to work, this needs to be turned off and it does not appear that we can do this under windows anymore.

Also, is there a way short of editing the registry to keep our customers browsers from updating until we can sort this out?

Finally, is there a way to roll our customers back to Chrome 31 if their computer did update until we sort this out?

Thanks Steve. I found that. Is that a legitimate site? I don't want to send our customers to a sketchy site.

Since this update, it's hell. Every time I open the browser, it resets itself, my profile doesn't get recognized, my extensions get canceled, all the preferences i set the previous time, even without logging into my account are lost. I hace to log in and then, after TEN MINUTES, maybe it's back to normal. HELL.

Another website you could check out is filehippo and look for chrome v31 (december release). The latest v31 is the most stable chrome has released. v32 is very buggy. The fps and scrolling from chrome gets very laggy on my pc. When I reverted back to v31, it was back to normal and very stable.

Im not sure whats up with google's QA department but subsequent versions of Chrome are buggy and slow as hell since v30.
Several times i've had to revert back to Opera, i use it as my main browser now. Its super smooth and can handle multiple tabs without lagging or slowing performance.
Google sort this out please.

For the second time in its history, Google Chrome lost popularity in browsers stats. Chrome used to gain between 0.5% and 1% between each months, but between december and january, it lost 0.1%, passing from 55.8% to 55.7%. Be very careful Google, the users are expressing themselves and you should retain lessons about it. Being more responsive and prudent with new "stable" releases. As a loyal user of Chrome, I'm joining my voice to those who aren't satisfied with the arrogant way Google is developping its browser. Don't loose people confidence, because others browsers are much more competitive now. Even Explorer won +1.1% in a single month, which is a 10% increase ! Peace !

W7 Pro/32,fully patched.
I'm using the external plugins (Not Pepperflash nor the integrated PDF viewer).

really, having to bear the following bugs in 2014 is lamentable:
- Flash videos just don't load !!!
- PDF files just don't load either...

Please, push in 33 to end this nightmare.

So this update is trash. Good to know. I'm glad that other people updated this ahead of me. I've been reluctant to since I updated a week ago and an update a week is a little much for my tastes.

The last 2 updates in chrome for Mac iOS (incl .107) has only served to 1} hang the entire computer after longer and longer wheel spinning 2) requires force quit, restart, then hangs itself again saying it didn't shut down correctly. None of the new tab raves appear. Takes forever to load before hanging. Switched to Safari with google search without any of these issues. On my souped up windows desktop with this .107 version and the previous one, chrome is slow to load but runs fine.

All the comments are very accurate. I am not commenting on this exact release but anything after v31 has been terrible. I have installed an offline version of v31 and haven't had any issues. If it wasn't for some major updates from v29, I would have stuck with that. If you're looking for past releases, I always go here:

They have them all. Pick and choose and you're off to the races!
