Is there an option to remove the top navigation bar when in the start up menu for Chrome?

This is the first version of chrome upon loading a page for example like xda forums it would be unresponsive/frozen for a few second where I couldn't immediately zoom in but with the latest update I can instantly start navigating around the page! On LG G2 with CM.
