Tabs freezing still occurs.Win 8.1 Pro 64bit
Yep, I confirm the tab freeze issue is still there...
Glad to see (kind of) that I am not the only one having the tab freezing problem.
Does anybody happen to know if there is a crbug bug report on tab freezing?
Yes, there is. Also, if you disable hardware acceleration in your chrome settings, it makes the situation at least a bit better.
This release broke font rendering on Linux Fedora. I have not tested this on any other Linux distributions. Previous release (37.x) had no font rendering issues.I made a screenshot to show how bad it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bda4dd1f1sbqdxd/chrome-38-linux-font-issue.png
Vaidas, Can you take the issue over to the Google Chrome product forums?
Giovanni, posted. Thanks.
C and H keys don't work in form fields with this release on Mac. They don't work in any form (including google homepage search) the keys work fine in all other programmes and I've been through usual ditching cache, alternative users, removing extensions etc
WTF, I guess I'm glad someone knows what you're writing about. My question is will this help me or is it something that will gum up the works if I update?
On Mac:Hardware acceleration needs to be enabled to watch videos on youtube.Netflix works after updating WidevineCdm in chrome://componentsSilverlight not showing up in chrome://plugins even after reinstalling latest Silverlight breaking any site using Silverlight like amazon instant video.
Prompt for saving password is not remembering when you tell not to ask about this page again.
C and H keys stopped working in Gmail. I removed Chrome v38 and those keys now work in Gmail.
