Dev Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Dev channel has been updated to 39.0.2171.14 (Platform version: 6310.9.0) for all Chrome OS devices except Lenovo N20 and ThinkPad 11e Chromebooks, the Acer Chromebook 11, Asus Chromebooks C300 and C200, the HP Chromebook 14 WP2, the Toshiba Chromebook 2 and the Samsung Chromebook 2 11 - XE500C12 . This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates and feature enhancements. A list of changes can be found here.

If you find new issues, please let us know by visiting our forum or filing a bug. Interested in switching channels? Find out how. You can submit feedback using ‘Report an issue...’ in the Chrome menu (3 horizontal bars in the upper right corner of the browser).

i just bought a refurbished acer chromebook 11
a few days ago. I can't do anything because it says it doesnt support the outdated version of chrome. HOW do i update it???? help please!!

If you are able to log onto the computer, there should be a arrow pointing up in the notification bar in the right corner. If you press the bar, you will get a menu with numerous option, where one is to restart the computer to update. I hope it helped! :D

In the upper right corner of the browser is the three bars menu. Chose "about Google Chrome". You should get a page with the actual version number AND it should search and load an update.
After some minutes it will ask you to reboot.

Thanks but neither of those helped. no arrow in the notification bar and from the second comment.. when i click on the "three bars menu" none of the options say about google chrome. I dont know what to do now... I have looked everywhere for both things.
