Win 7 64: crashes when I try to update, just like the last couple of versions. had to reinstall to get the update.
Google Chrome Version 41.0.2272.12 dev (64-bit) on "openSUSE" Linux has improved from the previous version. No longer seeing the previously reported (on this blog) "freeze" issue upon initial start up of the web browser seeb in the last version. The web browser is now opening properly on my set web page, www.google.com and fully maximized. So far so good. I will continue testing. However, still getting the following error messages in 'dmesg', but NO crashing:chrome: segfault at 1f8 ip 00007f976fa85bf8 sp 00007fff52ee7600 error 4 in i965_dri.so[7f976f73e000+4fd000]chrome: segfault at 1f8 ip 00007f7bd435dbf8 sp 00007fff3565b740 error 4 in i965_dri.so[7f7bd4016000+4fd000]chrome: segfault at 1f8 ip 00007fd35485fbf8 sp 00007fff3f8ce3d0 error 4 in i965_dri.so[7fd354518000+4fd000][ 71.520044]These messages are related to the following bug report which still has not been fixed:https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?can=2&q=415681&colspec=ID%20Pri%20M%20Iteration%20ReleaseBlock%20Cr%20Status%20Owner%20Summary%20OS%20Modified&id=415681Regards,Eugene
Reported the crash now. Can't link a bug as it's a crash report.
I take back my comment about the browser start-up 'freeze' not occurring any longer. It does occur. I have experienced it again, several times.Has a bug report been filed for this horrible annoyance?
