Same issue as Sergio Schneider's but this is on Lubuntu 14.04, Openbox session. I'm seeing the generic Openbox icon instead of the usual Google Chrome icon

With the release of this version, I noticed that certain JPEG images are not decoding correctly. Have confirmed this on three different Windows machines, running Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

There is a bug report about this filed on 5/10...

https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=486508

The biggest problem this presents is that all of the images at the following site have this issue...

http://www.express.co.uk/

Viewing the site in Internet Explorer is fine. Images do not exhibit the problem.

Try disabling
chrome://flags/#enhanced-bookmarks-experiment

It worked for me

Using Ubuntu, all my chrome tabs now show with really low resolution - grainy icons, giant text. Need to zoom out on every web page to make it reasonable size. Any suggestions what happened or how I can fix?

No icon in Panel on Linux Mint Mate 17.1 (32 bit). I temporarily installed Chrome 44 (Unstable) from Synaptic and the icon returned -- so I'm willing to wait for the upcoming fix.

Same as Abby reported. Even the source code within the debugger's "elements" tab is smudgy and low-res...

On RHEL 6.6 I'm seeing bad resolution. I get 1288x805 reported by http://www.whatismyscreenresolution.com/ but it should be 1920x1200 (as firefox reports). This appears to be a bug introduced in this upgrade. It makes the browser basically unusable.

I dont know if the resolution issue could be to do with my screen? I'm using a Dell XPS 13 which has a high dpi display. I'm trying to follow this old solution (http://superuser.com/questions/803710/chrome-37-ui-got-larger-and-became-blurry-on-125-dpi/803796#803796) but struggling to get a fix so far. This is making it really hard to use chrome and as a web engineer, I really need it! :(
