Stable Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Stable channel has been updated to 47.0.2526.74 (Platform version: 7520.55.0) for all Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates, and feature enhancements. Systems will be receiving updates over the next several days.

Some highlights of these changes are:
  • Improved YouTube CPU usage on the latest generation of Intel devices, a noticeable gain in 60fps.
  • Virtual keyboard gesture typing on touch-screen devices
  • New delete text and select text gestures on touch-screen devices
  • Add to shelf banners for bookmark apps
  • Created new hotkeys to replace combinations that conflicted with web pages.

If you find new issues, please let us know by visiting our forum or filing a bug. Interested in switching channels? Find out how. You can submit feedback using ‘Report an issue...’ in the Chrome menu (3 horizontal bars in the upper right corner of the browser).

You kiss your mother with that mouth?

Productive feedback can be sent via the feedback tool. Swearing on an official Chrome blog just makes you look like a spoiled brat.

I take it this is currently being skipped on the 2015 Pixel? Isn't hitting mine yet, at least.

If you're wanting to check the status of a specific device (what version it's Stable/Beta/Dev release is on) you should be checking the https://cros-omahaproxy.appspot.com/ page. This Blog will tell you what to expect when your device gets its update.

Thank you, Stephen Gale. I don't see why we must wait so long to get a Chrome OS update that includes security updates, though.

I agree about the font. IT IS HORRIBLE. Folders in the menu show up as black and the font is almost unreadable!

Not a fan of the black toolbar folders since latest update. My wife even commented to me about it on her CB. I think I saw that happen briefly after an update some time back but fixed itself shortly after.
