Beta Channel Update

The Chrome team is excited to announce the promotion of Chrome 51 to the beta channel for Windows, Mac and Linux. Chrome 51.0.2704.22 contains our usual under-the-hood performance and stability tweaks, but there are also some cool new features to explore - please head to the Chromium blog to learn more!

A full list of changes in this build is available in the log.  Interested in switching release channels?  Find out how here. If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a bug. The community help forum is also a great place to reach out for help or learn about common issues.

It's a little weird to post news about stuff we can learn at another blog, when that other blog hasn't yet posted said news (at the time of writing this comment). Maybe wait until the other blog has posted the content before posting here, or make sure to post them at the same time. Thanks.

After this update, pages display differently from previous versions. Some extensions don't work anymore.

Something's definitely wrong with this release. Embedded flash doesn't seem to work at all anymore, including in places like Twitch. Manually changing plugin settings doesn't help either. I constantly get "Couldn't load plugin" on the screen but with no option to actually load it.

Very annoying, how does something like this slip into a beta release?

Works fine for me, but I came here to say exactly the same thing as Victor Zamanian. Jeez, 2 days passed already, but there are nothing about the update on the Chromium blog yet.

Congratulations on shipping another major version. I too am disappointed though that there is no overview of changes posted to the Chromium blog event after 5 days have passed, despite the fact the post says to check there.

The last few major updates to the beta build haven't had a timely post on there and it's getting a little annoying, I understand I can read through the full change log but that's difficult due to the large number of changes between each release.

I know I'm moaning and I love what you guys have done with Chrome, I just wish there was better internal communication between you guys and whoever documents the changes for the post so we can read about them on release.
