Hello, after updating my Acer Chromebook 15 C9xx today to the latest firmwareVersion 54.0.2840.79 (64-bit)... there is still an old Flash-version with a serious secutity issue installed:https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player/apsb16-36.html--> fixed in version 184.108.40.206Flash-version in the firmware: 220.127.116.11r1Well, I had to deactivate Adobe Flash some weeks ago because of a previous serious security issue so there is no chance to use Flash content anymore because of Google's bad Flash updating policy in Chrome OS.Perhaps it would be better to remove Flash completely from ChromeOS because its versions are insecure most of the time so they cannot be used (even if there are updates for Google Chrome's desktop versions!).There is another displaying issue as for the login manager:After booting the Chromebook at first the user's names are displayed and after that the pictures. It might be an annoying animation which should be removed with the next firmware update.
Nothing on Acer R11. Is there a delay for that model? I've checked several times.
Changed all the fonts... again! =(
The zoom of a view are changed?
What happened to the standard zoom? The address bar now looks horribly clunky and I had to set my default zoom to 80% so that the fonts did not look as though the letters were put in by a child. Ie: the lower case E's sat higher than all other letter with their tops pulled up. I'm not sure what caused this.
The user interface look horrible now. everythings really blocky. and i have to zoom out to 80% to see webpages normal againplease fix
I notice that my Pixel LS (2015) says it is up to date when I checked at 5:00PM on October 27, 2016 - was it suppposed to be covered in this update to version 54?
If this update is for all Chrome OS devices. Then why is the Asus flip still on version 53 ?
having the same problem to the browser look huge now how can i fix this?
I agree with a lot of people are saying that everything is scaled up and the size of the tool/search bar got massively bigger. Everything was the perfect size before
I am seriously getting a headache after this update, I tried playing with the zoom but no luck.
HelloWill my HP Chromebook 11 receive this update?
Avoid this release! It's horrible. The crashing that has become common on my Chrome OS devices has gotten even worse, and web apps do no accept keyboard input (mouse only) suddenly. Common on Google- this isn't canary or alpha.
Nothing on my Acer R11 yet(Oct29th)
We were promised by Google that version 53 would have Android apps, now version 54 and still no sign of Android Apps for my HP.
Version 54.0.2840.79 (64-bit)WebGL has been turned off by default.. why? In 32 bit webGL is working
Two points. The Alt-Search is a nice UI improvement, but it duplicates the dedicated "switch windows" function key of a Chromebook.(above 6)The usage pattern between looking at files in Google Drive, and looking at local files using the file manager on a Chromebook is increasing diverging and confusing. Could you please try to make looking at files locally on a Chromebook (Alt-Shift-M) similar, to what happens on Google drive, cause you know, they are both core Google products.ThanksFriend
my samsung chromebook 2 is on Version 55.0.2883.29 dev (64-bit) and no google play yet i thought it was meant to come one chrome 53 ....i am running on chrome 55
Almost a week later and my Asus Flip CP100A is still saying it is up to date on version 53.
