Just updated. But no Play Store? At least not on my Acer Chromebook 14. Come on, you promised "end of 2016" ;-)
Oooo! Looking forward to updating and checking this out! :)
They promised 2016/2017. If we have Play Store support by the end of December 2017, they will have kept their promise. That said, I'm fed up of waiting, particularly as ARC has been in beta for one of my Chromebooks and stable in the other, just not enabled. The update hasn't rolled out to my HP Chromebook 13 G1 so I live in hope.
Play Store @ Chromebook, please!
I'm on Acer Chromebook 14 CBS-431, any idea when we will get the Play Store?
PlayStore would be appreciated a lot. I want to use OfficeSuite Pro+PDF for some serious offline typing
Waiting since December for the Play Store but still no sign of it. So I just keep on waiting , because all good things happen to the ones who are prepared to wait
Still no Play Store. I just wait here then.
No Play Store on Acer 14 Chromebook for Work.
Thank you for including the clarification on the few Chromebooks that are not updated in the initial release. This has caused confusion in the past for users of these models that seem to update a week or two after the initial update release.
I guess I'll get nougat on my moto G4 before I get android apps on my CB. I bought my CB Acer 14 in October because of the promise of android apps as I'm sure a lot of others have.....Just sayin'
No update in my Acer CB3-131.
The updates don't all roll out at the same time. Be patient but don't get excited about Play Store - you won't be getting it.
You may want to add the HP CB as well to your list of except. Has been a week sense this stable version was published, and nothing for my CB. I'm not really looking for the Play Store to be added to my CB, don't think it can cut it but any new visuals would be nice to see oh well another reason not to buy anymore CB.
No update on my CB5-311 either
Since the new update to chrome OS I am having issues via my Toshiba Chromebook 2 to casting to my TV Chromecast 2. This happens if I go to cast tab and cast desktop. It starts to work then my tv goes to a blue screen saying something like lost connection. I have done a reboot to my Chromecast 2 as well. Casting via my galaxy s7 I have no issues.
.. can we have indicative time-frames for ASUS Chromebook Flip C100PA, Google Chromebook Pixel (2015), Acer Chromebook R11 .... given it is explicitly stated that Stable channel has been updated to 56.0.2924.87 (Platform version: 9000.82.0) for all Chrome OS devices except ...pls
Can anyone confirm if this release supports Google Play on the Acer Chromebook R13? I'm currently running the Development release but would like to move back to stable at some point.
I was looking forward to Chrome 56 bringing Play Store support to my Asus C302...which was supposedly the 1 and only device gaining access from this update. Play Store worked nicely in Beta for me.I updated, powerwashed, and lo and behold, still no 'enable play store' option in settings now that I'm stable channel. Hmm...what's up here, Google?
I have a Dell Chromebook 11, and it keeps saying that I am up to date. I still have version 55.
Nice! Still waiting for the play store though ;)
I would like to report that with this OS update that my friend who has a chromebox is now not able to use Goggle Drawings to save edited pictures to his Goggle drive and see the changed picture without closing the browser then open up drive again.
Will it ever come to the R11, or is it just delayed?
My HP ChromeBox system has become more unstable after upgrading to this version. Sometimes the login screen doesn't appear properly, or it doesn't unlock properly. I have to do a hard-reset (hold down power button for 10 secs) in order to recover :(
