The article suggestions must be ads - in that they are chosen based on ad revenue - because they are always from obscure crappy websites that I would never visit. Why no article recommendations from credible news sources?

I still have not received this update. I'm using an AT&T Galaxy Note 2 running the stock Kitkat 4.4.2 ROM. I am also using Canary which is updating each weekday, but the YouTube (desktop) experience on Canary is poor on my phone while Chrome 56 Stable is much less janky. Beta and Dev also don't get updated often or much at all from what I've experienced, which is why I'm trying to resort to Canary. Also, hopefully you guys will get some useful telemetry from me for the Galaxy Note 2 when I actually do use Canary, and hopefully that may get Chrome on stock Note 2s updated (way) sooner. This is the longest I've had to wait to date.
Tom, you can file feedback on the article suggestions at crbug.com, we'd be happy to hear more details on this. I personally see articles from credible sources but that may not be the case across the board.Jo, we stage our rollouts and do not send them to more people if we find issues; unfortunately M57 had a few issues cropped up and we paused the deployment until today. A new version is shipping soon, and it will be available to all users in the near future (assuming nothing else crops up). Re: dev and beta, those channels tend to receive updates weekly, so if you're not seeing those that's a problem - can you file a bug as well? The slowness in canary is also a problem, though that channel is updated daily and only has automated tests performed on it, so it's possible we have just had a string of bad luck; testing on dev and beta would be really helpful for us here.
