Does this version include the fix of blurry font issue?

miniwrld at work said...

@Unknown It's unclear if the issue has been addressed. Nothing in the log suggests activity either way.

"Note: Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix."

If only google would have the same concern when releasing security vulnerabilities of their competitors.

What happened to presentation mode with auto-hiding toolbar? Only Full Screen mode is available and the toolbar is either off or always on. Now it takes an additional keyboard shortcut or mouse action to hide or unhide the toolbar. This is frustrating.

I have just install this version and every time I am try to access a variable in the Devtools through console i am getting:
DevTools was disconnected from the page
Once Page is reloaded , DevTools will automatically reconnect.

The "DevTools was disconnected from the page" problem, started to raise just from the previous release. It's very annoying while you are debugging.

Choosing full-screen photo view in Facebook results in only full-browser view.

The new version of Chrome Browser has removed the preview bar (lower right corner) when you hover over a link. This is a huge security issue for users. How can we get that preview of the link back?

@Krishna Govind - Unfortunately there is no clue about the cause. I'm debugging an application with a big amount of JS code and while I'm trying to invoke a function from the console, sometimes that problem arises. Not always, but once it starts then it appears more frequently.

@Krishna Govind - Just to add more information. When I say "I'm trying to invoke a function from the console", I'm not even able to execute it. The problem pop out while I'm typing.

What did you do to the tabs? I hate these new ones. They are visual fingernails on a chalkboard.

Stable. Yes it´s totally stable now, when it freeze every now and then. V. 69.0.3497.92 and nothing moves so yeah totally stable, too stable :) Have to manually update sites like Fb etc. etc. Never work at first opening, always have to update, so there are many issues still in Chrome. And also not closing proper. When have a look in Task Manager there can be as many as 2-10 open Chrome never shutting down. Also have to close those bastards manually. So please do something better next time updating Chrome to next version.

This update has broken the main feature for which I choose Chrome, which is fullscreen mode with autohide toolbar.
Particularly in combination with the behaviour of the Google home page search, which now shows a search box (like it always did) but doesn't actually show any characters typed into it (since they appear in the address bar instead - which in fullscreen is hidden, but used to autoshow when stuff was being entered into it, or when you hit Ctrl/Cmd-L to type in a new url).

You've removed the auto-hide tabs feature? I'm going to have to find a new browser if this doesn't come back.

Can I downgrade?

(I can't believe you have done this in the same week you announced you were killing inbox)

My Chrome says:

Nearly up to date! Relaunch Google Chrome to finish updating.
Version 69.0.3497.92 (Official Build) (64-bit)

and it says that same thing when I click on the relaunch button.

The first time an upgrade has got stuck.

Any ideas

James
