Stable Channel Update for Desktop

The stable channel has been updated to 69.0.3497.100 for Windows, Mac, and Linux, which will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

Security Fixes and Rewards
Note: Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix. We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed.

This update includes 1 security fix from our ongoing internal security work:

  • [884726] Fixes from internal audits, fuzzing and other initiatives

Many of our security bugs are detected using AddressSanitizer, MemorySanitizer, UndefinedBehaviorSanitizer, Control Flow Integrity, libFuzzer, or AFL.

A list of all changes is available in the log. Interested in switching release channels? Find out how. If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a bug. The community help forum is also a great place to reach out for help or learn about common issues.

Please correct this bug with the scroll bar on the main page. On the screen of 15.6 inches, all elements of the new tab are placed, but still a slider appears that moves a couple of millimeters. Very annoying and absolutely not needed.

There's nothing stable about this update. Videos on both Facebook and Youtube do not work properly. Facebook videos don't load at all, and Youtube videos look as if they're not going to load at all (thumbnail image visible with the Youtube logo over it) but then after a minute or two go on to play without any audio. Disastrous update.

Children's sites like Ticket to Read and Starfall are Flash heavy and I'm having to Allow Flash every time a student logs into a machine. The setting won't hold if Chrome is closed and reopened. I have to reset to Allow Flash 100 times a day now (no joke...20 machines and five separate classes). Need a fix for this really fast!

Since this version (69.0.3497.100) chrome is extremely slow at starting and others like going from home page to settings takes at least a minute. Just opening a empty new tab, same story. Previous version worked fast and nicely! If this isn't fixed soon I will delete chrome and take another browser.

A horrible update.
I need to log into all my saved sites again, a big hassle.
Flash sites are no longer saved? Wha is this!!! I understand the need to move to HTML 5, but why be aggressive about it? At work we use quite a few websites that run on flash and this is causing alot of issues, everyone needs to reenable for every page everytime they open the browser.
Google, I can't believe I'm saying this, i'm disappointed, I might just move back to firefox.

Rip my chrome extension. How the hell can I go about figuring out what has changed? Is a proper changelog documented somewhere?

The log at "https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/69.0.3497.92..69.0.3497.100?pretty=fuller&n=10000" is hardly readable.

What the hell was google thinking? This version is full of bugs and will drive people away from using the Chrome. It's been only 1 day for me and I can't stand it.

The scroll bar in gmail drive me nuts.

*sigh* Now I have to start using Firefox again. Disallowing Flash sites on Chrome will not force those sites to stop using Flash any faster. I will just cause users (who have no control) to switch browsers because they have to get work done right now. VMware first took away my native vSphere client and forced me to use their Flash-based web client. They also have an HTML5 client *BUT* that client is *not* feature complete so it is not usable for my day to day activities. No matter how much I complain to VMware I am not going to get a fully functional HTML5 client until they decide to complete that work. As a user, I now have only one option and that is to switch browsers. Good bye Chrome!

@Edwin - totally....I told all of my users that they would only have to click on allow Flash once but not anymore....time to go back to Firefox...sometimes I wonder why I got into this business...

There are issues about "display: -webkit-box;" in Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit).

No problem was in my web(https://e-sue.com) with the previous verion of chrome. Also no problem with both IE and Firefox.

But with the above version, my web is displayed differently.

With deleting the "display: -webkit-box;", I solved my problem.

Good Day! The responsive mode fails to properly show my "position: fixed" div at the bottom or at the top. The body height seems to be not following the screen height specified. The sticky div is have is hidden from the view all the way to the bottom or to the top when scrolling, and only shows when i'm at the bottom of the page. Please fix this. Thanks.

The new updates makes chrome freeze for more than 10 seconds, then all windows turn white. After that it reloads the pages. It gets annoying after the fifth time in less than an hour.
Please fix this!
