Beta Channel Update for Desktop

The Chrome team is excited to announce the promotion of Chrome 72 to the beta channel for Windows, Mac and Linux. Chrome 72.0.3626.17 contains our usual under-the-hood performance and stability tweaks, but there are also some cool new features to explore - please head to the Chromium blog to learn more!

A full list of changes in this build is available in the log. Interested in switching release channels?  Find out how here. If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a bug. The community help forum is also a great place to reach out for help or learn about common issues.

Yes, still no entry in the Chromium blog. It's very annoying. The change log is just a vast screed of text, totally unsuited to trying to just pick out significant used or changed features. It's usually a month or two before a post with the new and change highlights hoes up in the .Chrome Help Forum. And the posts in this blog just tell readers to go to non-existent posts in the Chromium blog. Other browser makers manage to produce 'release notes' pages, ready on release of a new version, that list (And explain where necessary) the major new and changed features, suitable for users who do not want the entire incomprehensibly techie change-log. Why are Google incapable of producing such a simple thing?
