How long does it take for the rollout to hit certain devices. I've got an HP Chromebook 13 G1 and I'm still not seeing the update.

Just received the update on my Asus C302. Messages integration works great so far, but the Smart Lock feature is broken. I flipped the setting for "Unlock Device and Sign In to Google Account", but each time the log-in screen tells me "Enter your password. Next time, your phone will unlock your device." I tried it half a dozen times. :/

Good to see PIN support. But why no PIN for Google Apps accounts? You'd think those need to be secure, too.

Jeffrey, I had the same experience but then tried the old turn off/turn on trick and all was working again. Chris

I can no longer use chrome://flags to make it look like the old chrome... why remove this?? It was so much better, and now I'm forced to use this disgusting design.

I was hoping this would be the release that finally brought Crostini to my HP Chromebook 13 G1, I guess not. I see that I'm probably being forced to get a new Chromebook. What stinks is that's hard to find a reasonably priced Chromebook with at least 8GB of memory and more than 32GB of storage.

Jeffrey, I had the same problem on my Pixelbook. Powerwashing did not help. Finally, I used Chrome to log into my account. I noticed a security alert that indicated I had not logged into my P'book or my Asus flip, or Samsung +, or Dell Linux laptop in over 100 days -- not true! So, I pressed the "remove" account button for all devices, then exited chrome OS, and logged back in. No more sync problem! I hope this helps

I cannot switch to the old shelf design. The new one is absolutely horrendous.

Please bring back the option to revert the UI to the old style. It was available in the previous version, why remove choice?

1.) Since the update bluetooth LE does not work anymore the a tantack Blootooth (i.e. it is not found; deleting the list of known devices in the card reader does not help).

1.) Anyway a smart lock with a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini (Android 6) fails, too. There is no connection although a pairing works.

3.) The support for the internal microphone ist *still broken*, too, because the microphone is muted all the time (for some now).

- Acer Chromebook CB5-571
- Version 71.0.3578.94

Google has to fix these serious issues as soon als possible!

Hi Chrome Developers!
I am surprised to discover that till now there is no option to set a password/use fingerprint to open Google Chrome! I usually keep myself signed in to Chrome and when someone borrows my laptop, signing out from chrome and clearing history is really a pain. If I make that person use Guest account, he/she can easily switch back to my account. If they want to switch, they have to enter a password/my google account password to enter my browsing session. I hope I could explain it. I do not desire another child mode/lock implementation. I want a focussed password lock implementation as however secure the browser is from online vulnerabilities, most of the time our accounts are compromised locally from our acquaintances.
Regards,
Debopriyo Basu.

Not if you "Sign Out". They would have to know your password to sign in under your account.
Signing out is a two-click operation.
