Beta Channel Update

The Chrome Beta channel has been updated to 8.0.552.210 for Windows and Chrome Frame.  Update: Now available for Mac and Linux also.

This release contains a number of stability and UI improvements.  Full details about the changes are available in the SVN revision log. If you find new issues, please let us know by filing a bug. Want to change to another Chrome release channel? Find out how.

Anybody else having problems upgrading ? On my laptop, the upgrade process will freeze the computer endlessly, using 100% of the HDD. CTRL-ALT-DELETE won't even work.

Having an issue with some browser action popups on certain extensions:

Flash is broken for me. All .swf files, including YouTube videos, display "Missing Plug-In."

Bug: I have GCdev and GCcanary running on windows. when I switch the flash player to full screen using canary the icon of flash player window is GCdev not the yellow GCcanary icon.

The "Create application shortcut" of the "Tools" menu (or something like that, because I use the French version) is systematically crashing the browser on the latest versions of GC Canary... :/

Chrome pdf viewer should be moved to about:flags in the next beta update. It comes as default in this beta 8 and the help forum gets many posts about it's problems.

Just like click to play, it is not ready for "prime time".

Has the bug in stable 7 channel been fixed yet where there is no mime type for uploaded txt/csv type files?

The bug is breaking applications.
