Posting this in here too (dunno, if this is a problem with anything else than Arch or Linux in general):
For those still experiencing the random hangs: don't just clear the browsing data - create a new profile.
I removed ~/.cache/google-chrome/ and ~/.config/google-chrome/, synced everything back with Chrome's sync (thank god for this) and haven't had a single hang since.
Frankly, the whole thing even _feels_ so much faster now.
Archlinux: That here unfortunately does not repair the errors that pictures are not loaded correctly. Whether on www.sportbild.de (Pictures to the left of above downward with the mouse over-drive (of Wolfsburg holt Olic to VFL baut Spitze um)) or www.sport1.de or on www.wetteronline.de (rain radar).
Excellent work. I must say, although it was somewhat devastating while this bug was in full force, I haven't on the whole found dev channel to be less reliable than the others, which is pretty remarkable.
I noticed that certain pages arent scrollable. i keep scrolling with my mouse but the page never scroll down. This also occur in the Settings page. Might wanna fix that.

Ah..It's a pepper-flash issue.
If I deactivate pepper flash and take the normal Flashplayer, then I do not have the problem.

Everything seems to be running smoothly now. Will report back if anything happens.
Thanks for such a quick fix. One day? Good god you guys are speedy.
Thanks for fixing this. I noticed this issue earlier and was happy to read that there was a fix right when I read about it. Works great for me!

It would be a nice option for built-in "smooth-scroll" setting..
so far everything works ok with the new dev release. (Windows XP Pro 32-bit)
..keep up the great work.
Am I the only one not seeing Chrome icon when ALT-TABing? For me it's displaying some generic icon and it's hard to quickly alt-tab to Chrome.
same here - no icons while ALT-Tab..
Also seeing a generic icon when using alt-tab
Google Chrome 19.0.1068.1
