Beta Channel Update

The beta channel has been updated to 38.0.2125.58 for Windows, Mac and Linux.

With this release Chrome Mac is 32-bit and will continue to be 32-bit when Chrome 38 goes to stable. With the release of Chrome 39, we will be moving Mac to 64-bit and will no longer support 32-bit NPAPI plugins.

A full list of changes is available in the Git log. Interested in switching release channels? Find out how. If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a bug.

Weird, yes, also for me this version does not seem to show the 64bit moniker... (Version 38.0.2125.58 beta) Are we back to 32 bits?

Yes, the beta is reverted to 32-bit from 64-bit. You can read that from the description of this update: "With this release Chrome Mac is 32-bit and will continue to be 32-bit when Chrome 38 goes to stable. With the release of Chrome 39, we will be moving Mac to 64-bit and will no longer support 32-bit NPAPI plugins."

Beta version 38.0.2125.44 with a date of Sept 2, 2014 was 64-bit. The update to beta version 38.0.2125.58 (dated Sept 9) set it back to being a 32-bit application
