Beta Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Beta channel has been updated to 38.0.2125.101 (Platform version: 6158.49.0) for all Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates and feature enhancements. A list of changes can be found here.

If you find new issues, please let us know by visiting our forum or filing a bug. Interested in switching channels? Find out how. You can submit feedback using ‘Report an issue...’ in the Chrome menu (3 horizontal bars in the upper right corner of the browser).

A lot of users would love it if you guys posted a few notable things that are new with each beta update instead of giving us a huge list of tiny changes.

My 2012 Samsung Series 3 Chromebook has been taking 16 seconds to boot and 8 seconds to process the password and log in to the usable desktop.

When I bought it new in 2013, it consistently booted in 8 seconds and 1 to 2 seconds max to log in to usable desktop, for months until recently.

Please fix?

Since the previous update I've had extensions that disappear and need to be reinstalled periodically (Checker plus for Gmail). Also, when I try to save a document to my computer, the file tree on the left does not appear.

Ditto what JMUKin said, except the extensions don't disappear, only their icons.
