Beta Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Beta channel has been updated to 42.0.2311.67 (Platform version: 6812.59.0) for all devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates, and feature enhancements. A list of changes can be found here.

If you find new issues, please let us know by visiting our forum or filing a bug. Interested in switching channels? Find out how. You can submit feedback using ‘Report an issue...’ in the Chrome menu (3 horizontal bars in the upper right corner of the browser).

1) The font is ugly. The font used in the stable channel looks better.

2) The blue themed files application is also ugly.

3) Having to select search -> all applications is less convenient. The old format made it much easier to navigate and select applications.

4) Having the option to search from the taskbar doesn't make my experience easier. After searching within the browser for many years, I'm accustomed to it. The only thing that feature provides is inconvenience.

I also don't understand the point of the "Search" icon replacing the "App Launcher" icon without having an option to add the App Launcher to the taskbar,... when we already have a Search button replacing CapsLock. Not that I used CapsLock or would but, I liked to get access to all apps in 1 click.

My suggestion would be to bring back the App icon and add to the taskbar, a text bar input field like the GoogleSearch widget on Android.

To those who want the old app launcher, there is a flag to disable the new launcher. At least works for now.
