This was a horrible update. The swipe option needs to return to switching between tabs, not going forward or backward. At least give users the option as to how the swipe function works. This update has taken Chrome BACKWARDS instead of FORWARDS. I personally will not be using chrome until this is fixed.
You can swipe left/right on the toolbar to switch tabs the old way. This brings Chrome in line with a standard gesture used across most applications on iOS.
Mobile App Development is the technology of the future. It is great to see how tech giants like Google placing emphasis on the design, development and improvement of mobile apps in order to facilitate development of the mobile sector in all countries.
Please bring back the old swipe to switch between tabs function back. Luckily I read the release note and refrained from updating. Hope this issue will be resolved soon.

The changed swipe FINALLY makes swipe work as expected! =)
Yea, I also preferred swiping to switch tabs.

This doesn't help if you have a larger screen phone to be able to switch between tabs with one hand.
Personally I preferred the old functionality.
